... art work for the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion Festival - a student ambassador collaboration between University of Amsterdam and University of Birmingham. For the piece I interviewed several (international) staff and students about their sense of belonging, what does this concept mean to them? In accordance to my findings I made this piece, which has the dimension of 3 by 3 meters. (Since it's so huge, I dissected some layers separately to show the details). As an interactive piece of art, students and staff of University of Birmingham and Amsterdam wrote their ideas about how the university can become more equal, diverse and inclusive on two pieces and exchange the canvasses. And there are tote bags! ...
